Main Window

VNC QuickDesk - Main Window

The Main Window is arranged into four parts.

1) Folders (left)
2) Connections (right)
3) The Toolbar (top)
4) The Status Line (bottom)

The left pane contains all the folders. If you click on a folder, all connections and sub folders of the marked folder become available in the right window. If you double click on a sub folder in the right window, the contents of this sub folder are displayed on the in the right window. If you double click on a connection, then a remote connection to this object is initiated.

The Toolbar
With the help of the Toolbar you may achieve the most important functions with one mouse-click. If you want to know, which symbol has which function, move the mouse over the symbol and wait a moment. The purpose of the icon is then indicated by a small text box.

The Status Line
The status line contains information about the connections or folders.

The Systray Symbol
When VNC QuickDesk is started, a small icon is displayed in the "systray".

With the help of this symbol, you can establish a connection without the use of the main window. Click with the left mouse button on the symbol and wait until the menu is loaded. You may then select and establish the desired connection.

If you right click on the symbol, then the main window is brought to the foreground.
